His name is my first memory (library) This is my first memory: a great room with heavy wooden tables that sat on a wooden floor creaking green A-line bank shades of fire in the center of solid oak chairs that have been too low or perhaps I was just too short for me to sit and read So my first book has always been important in the lobby four steps to the semi-circle office presided the left side of the card catalog in the right hand resting on the records that resembled Magazines quilt rack wall when the smile of welcome from my library's anticipation in my heart all these books-another world waiting at my fingertips.
