What is the easiest way to crop a background from an image in Photoshop or Fireworks?
Please let me know how to do it or direct me to some online tutorial. I need to remove the black background from a logo so that I can set the background to white and put it on a website. Thanks.
The Extract Filter is a good tool to use. Click on Filters, then choose this tool. All you do is use a brush to roughly paint over what you want to keep, then select it. The instructions are at the top of the Extract Filter screen while you’re using it.
I only used this tool for the first time a couple of days ago, and found it really quick and easy.
