Ive looked at cool text and a couple of others like aaa .. are there actually any decent free logo maker tools on the internet.

Decent free logo maker websites are few and far between. Yes there are a few like AAA (software download trial), The Logo Creator (Software download trial), Cooltext (1980s version of free logo design).
The one I am actually associated with though is called Logo Ease. http://www.logoease.com
The reason I am associated with this site is because it is the BEST free logo design website I have ever seen.
It produces free vector graphics and nobody will ever ask you for a cent. It’s great for people with no cash
HOWEVER … If you want a REAL logo design then you need to use a REAL design company.
There is no substitute for a logo that can be turned into a world class brand and no matter how many free logos you make you won’t get a world class result.
